This unwavering dedication is why we operate as a 100% volunteer-based organization, founded and led by four passionate women who share a common goal, to give everything we can to create a brighter future for every animal that crosses our path. At Fur-Ever Supawstars, each member of our team dedicates their time to this organization while balancing full-time careers elsewhere. For us, this is not a job or a business; it’s a heartfelt passion and a vital mission driven by love for animals in need.

Many of the animals we rescue are in urgent, life-threatening situations, often just hours away from euthanasia. We pour our time, resources, and personal finances into rescuing animals from overcrowded shelters and high-risk environments, giving them the chance to experience love, safety, and a second chance at life. Although we’re one organization among many in the face of hundreds of overcrowded kill shelters, our vision goes beyond our rescue alone. We’re committed to a future where the need for kill shelters is entirely eliminated, and animals are protected and cherished in every community.

Samantha

Our CEO, Samantha has harbored a profound passion for animal welfare since childhood. Growing up surrounded by cats and dogs, her beloved fur-siblings played a pivotal role in shaping her into the kind, patient, forgiving, and loving person she is today. 

As she grew older, Samantha made the decision to adopt her own fur-baby, Si-Guy. From the moment they met, their connection was undeniable, and she felt that they had chosen each other. After completing the adoption process, Samantha discovered that Si-Guy had originally come from a shelter in Kentucky, TN, before being relocated to an Ontario-based rescue. Si-Guy had overcome numerous challenges while navigating new environments and learning to trust other humans. Eager to share his journey, Samantha updated both shelters with photos, videos, and milestones celebrating his progress.

During this process, Samantha learned that Si-Guy was one of many animals at risk of euthanasia. The only reason she was able to adopt him was due to a dedicated volunteer who offered to transport him to the rescue during their travels. This revelation deeply moved her and ignited a sense of urgency within her.

Inspired by Si-Guy's resiliency and never-ending love, fueled by her passion for animal welfare, Samantha knew she had to effect change. Drawing on her experiences and her unwavering love for animals, she took the steps to co-found a rescue organization dedicated to saving at-risk animals in need.

Holly 

Our CFO, Holly, brings a wealth of experience and an unwavering commitment to animal welfare to our organization. Having collaborated with numerous shelters throughout her life, she has selflessly dedicated countless hours of her personal time, financial resources, and her own vehicle to rescue animals in urgent need of care.

Holly’s profound love for animals and her dedication to helping those in need have been a defining part of her life since childhood. Growing up on a farm, she developed a deep connection to all living creatures and began rescuing a diverse array of animals, including dogs, raccoons, horses, bunnies, and cats. With each animal she lovingly nurtured back to health, Holly deepened her passion for rehabilitation and embraced a profound sense of responsibility to advocate for those who cannot voice their needs.

Her journey has been one of compassion and resilience, as she has consistently stepped up to provide care for injured and abandoned animals. Holly's life is driven by an enduring desire to make a positive impact, ensuring that every animal receives the love, respect, and second chance they deserve. Her dedication inspires those around her and serves as a powerful reminder of the difference one person can make in the lives of countless animals.

Jessica

Our COO, Jessica, is a remarkable individual whose profound love for animals is evident in every aspect of her life. From a young age, she found solace in the companionship of her fur-siblings, creating unbreakable bonds that provided comfort and joy to both her and her pets. This early connection instilled in her a deep understanding of the unique needs and requirements of a wide variety of breeds and animals. Regardless of their differences, one thing remained constant: the unmistakable love and affection she shared with each of them.

Jessica’s unwavering passion for animal welfare drives her daily efforts to ensure that every animal in our care is matched with the perfect family. She approaches this task with remarkable dedication, investing significant time and energy to understand the individual needs of each animal, ensuring they find loving homes that suit them best.

Jessica’s desire to change the world for animals is a driving force in her life. She envisions a future where every animals receive the love and care they deserve, and she actively works toward that goal every day. Her selflessness and commitment to animal welfare inspire those around her, encouraging her colleagues and community to join her mission. Through her leadership and dedication, Jessica not only transforms the lives of the animals she helps but also fosters a culture of compassion and advocacy that resonates throughout our organization.

Brooke

Our CAO, Brooke, grew up in a household devoted to rescuing dogs, and it was her first dog, Lola, who inspired her lifelong dream of creating a sanctuary for animals in need. To avoid conflict between Brooke and her brother, their parents selected Lola, the newest member of their family. However, when they arrived to bring Lola home, Brooke noticed a smaller puppy who had not received any attention. Upon inquiring, she learned that this little one was the ”runt”, and was often overlooked by potential adopters. Brooke felt an immediate connection to the little one, "pixie". At such a tender age, she recognized that some dogs require a little extra care and a whole lot of love.

Brooke's bond with Lola ignited her passion for animal welfare. So eventually, her family decided to adopt another rescue from Los Angeles, deepening her understanding of the challenges many animals face before finding their forever homes. This experience marked the beginning of her advocacy for animal rescue.

Tragically, Brooke lost her beloved Lola to cancer, a heart-wrenching moment that brought profound grief to her life for a long time. A few years later, she encountered a rescue post about puppies urgently needing care after their mother had been sadly put down while pregnant. Brooke and her family applied and were delighted to welcome the "runt" of the litter into their home and, she finally saved her Pixie, or as she would say, Pixie saved her.

As Brooke has grown older, her commitment to rescuing animals has only intensified. She has transformed her KW local shop, Hamel Brooms, into a safe and welcoming space for dogs, encouraging customers to bring their beloved pets along while they shop. Moreover, she utilizes her business to promote animals in urgent need, advocate for animal welfare, and donate to local rescues.

Together with her husband, two children, and her rescue dogs, they have created a nurturing environment that fosters compassion for animals. Her unwavering dedication to rescuing and fostering animals has profoundly shaped their lives, allowing them to make a significant impact on countless rescues in need.

Geo

Our CCO, Geo, has dedicated much of her life to volunteering for animals in need. From a young age, she has shown a deep passion for animal welfare, and throughout her life, she has always had pets. Along with her family, Geo has consistently donated time, resources, and financial support to ensure that animals in need have a safe and loving home. This commitment has been unwavering, and they have always been there to help when animals require assistance.

Geo invests considerable time and energy into ensuring the animals in her care are not only comfortable but also feel loved and valued. She works tirelessly to provide them with the best possible chance of being adopted into their "fur-ever" homes.

Before joining this rescue, Geo had already established herself as a strong advocate for animal welfare. She has opened her home to numerous animals over the years, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need and deserve.

Anyone who knows Geo personally understands that animals are at the heart of her life. She would prefer nothing more than to be surrounded by her beloved pets and the joy they bring.

Within the community, Geo is well known for her dedication to animal advocacy. She has become a trusted figure, often turning to her for assistance in times of need. Along with her partner, she has adopted Stella and Bowie, two wonderful pets who are now thriving in their forever home and also enjoying the company of their temporary foster siblings. Geo’s commitment to animal welfare continues to inspire those around her, as she selflessly advocates for the well-being of every animal she encounters.
